What I did right in 2016.
Hey, guys its only me dropping into your inbox very briefly today to help drop a nugget in your week.
I was thinking about how often we have a go at people who let us down, we hold grudges, we get upset because they let us down. We were relying on them; we needed them, and they let us down.
As I reflect on the end of the year, I wanted to really ask you what have you LET YOU DOWN ON this year?
#Question. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and said it…YOU LET YOU DOWN! In life you get angry when people don’t come through for you. You hold them to high standards, but when was the last time you held yourself to that same standard?? It’s time to stop blaming other people! Aren’t you tired of losing?? #YouOweYou ET.
I am off to Washington in two weeks to speak with many awesome women and share the stage with some of the greatest women on the planet. Not because I was looking for anyone else to create opportunities for me, but because I got up and stared myself in the mirror.
I didn’t accept the world that I was given at birth. I started focussing my energy in a place of growth, telling myself I can make it happen and I want you to do the same.
Check this out guys, in two weeks my the team is off to LA in two weeks to seal deals I could have never imagined while selling mangoes in Balaclava, Jamaica. The Mango Girl is real, and I will not stop THE grind until it’s a reality.
PONDER THIS:
√Are you grinding enough for your success?
√Did you grind enough this year for your success?
What’s is even more interesting in this whole scenario – is that while they are meeting with the likes of Stephen Spielberg and Hally Berry – I will be the sharing stage with the likes of Sheryl Lee Ralph- Now she is not just a Hollywood actress, she is Jamaican.
I wonder if you are thinking what I am thinking.
Now if that isn’t because I looked myself in the mirror and decided I was going to pick myself up in November 2014, when my husband walked out on me -( a man I was in love with and thought we were fine) then I don’t know what it is. You see life has curved balls constantly.
You see, I truly loved my husband. I really saw my future with him, but I may not have looked myself in the mirror and expressed to him how deeply I loved him. I let me down.
So get this guy- I am asking you to look YOU in the mirror and ask yourself if you have let you down this year.
√So my question is what changed in me?
√I didn’t get a new husband( in fact I am still single and happy.)
√I didn’t get a new life.
√I changed- I decided to do everything with that pain to become a victor. Today I am on that journey, and I want to take you with me, it doesn’t matter your situation. If I can do it you are more than capable; it doesn’t matter the RUT that you are in, let me help you find your way on this side.
So as we close 2016- I want you to develop a culture of looking into the mirror and start winning, close the GAP for 2016. Don’t carry it over to 2017.
So in closing today, I want to invite you to book a discovery session in my diary, it’s FREE no charge, I want to help you start 2017 right.
Here is my schedule and I am trusting you to take YOU more seriously as we end the last few days of 2016.
Stop blaming everyone, start holding you accountable for your life.
Look yourself in the mirror and decide if it’s really YOU who let YOU down in 2016.
